EstuaryWatch data is regularly analysed and interpreted to find patterns and to determine environmental change.

The Plan for EstuaryWatch Victoria provides the direction for the program over the next eight years. 

EstuaryWatch volunteers conduct their monitoring according to Monitoring Your Estuary, the EstuaryWatch Victoria monitoring manual.

The manual was developed by the Corangamite Catchment Management Authority with advice from the School of Life and Environmental Sciences, Deakin University.
